Work Smarter, Not Harder - My Five Tips for Saving Time

Time equals money, and one thing I have been trying to do is streamline my life, just a little. I mean I do it at work for my team, so why not do it with my life right?

Here are Five ways I have worked smarter and not harder.

  1. My Deebot Ozmo 900 from Godfreys.

I cannot tell you what an impact this vacumn has made in my life. Even as I write this blog now DeeDee (as I call her) is doing her thing. Since getting my Deebot Ozmo 900 I have caculated I save a whopping NINETY MINUTES. This is ninety minutes I can be doing work, reading a book, hitting the gym, anything I want thanks to my Deebot.

My Deebot Ozmo 900 Features intelligent navigation, an integrated vacuum and mop cleaning system, and an auto-boost power ability, making this robot is extremely efficienct in solving my various cleaning needs. Shes so amazing I have done a review on behalf of Godfreys which you can read here.

  2. Meal Prep.

Yes, I know, the dreaded meal prep. But isn’t making one large meal and dividing it down into planned meals a-lot easier than making a fresh lunch each and everyday? Meal Prepping is not only time efficient, but you will find yourself eating better and saving money. Meal plans save time because you don’t have to open the cupboards each day and work out what to cook, and you don’t have to take extra trips to the shops to get food because you will have bought your food shop knowing what meals you are cooking for.

I don’t know about you but Meal prepping has some serious wins.

  3. Vitamin pouches or boxes.

This is something I have been doing for the last year. The key idea behind it was to ensure I take my daily vitamins but the result, I am also saving time. So here is what I do: I have small stackable containers. 7 blue ones and 7 white ones. Each Sunday night I open them all up and divide out all my vitamins for morning and night. Not only does this allow me enough time to purchase refills if needed but I also have handy we packs ready to go when needed.

  4. Get Ready for the morning the night before.

I am not 100% sure if this saves me time, but I know it saves me stress. Each night, before bed, I normally lay out my morning workout clothes, my work outfit, and I pre-sort the dry ingredients for my morning smoothie. It means when I wake up, all I need to do, is hit the gym, get ready for work, make my breakfast fast and boom I am ready to go. I am not running around stressed trying to find my White T-Shirt, or dealing with protein powders.

  5. Work Social Time with Activities.

I always try and see people in ways which complement my goals. So when I make friend time I tend to suggest we hit the gym, do a class, or go for a walk. Otherwise, let’s do a meal, over say a coffee…we all have to eat right? It may seem obvious, but honestly it helps. You still get that workout in but with the added bonus, you get to see your friend. A total win-win.
